Numonyl Dx Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses a cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination medication is used to treat cough & relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Numonyl Dx: this medication is best taken with a full glass of water after a meal or snack. Swallow long acting tablets & capsules whole. don't crush or chew them because long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased. Take it medication as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed.
Numonyl Dx side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your physician. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Numonyl Dx Precautions: Tell you're doctor your medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any medication allergies. money this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult you're pharmacist promptly if this contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. this pill must be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. this medication may be excreted into breast milk. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Numonyl Dx drug interactions: Tell your physician of all prescription & nonprescription drugs you use, especially: medication for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this med. do not start or stop any medicine with out physician or pharmacist approval.
Numonyl Dx Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss of coordination, unusual movements of the eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change in behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or quick heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.
Numonyl Dx special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it drug. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Numonyl Dx dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.
Numonyl Dx Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in bathroom.
