Warning: this pill may cause severe blood disorders (e.g., bone marrow suppression, including hemolytic anemia, and especially thrombocytopenia and leukopenia). syndrome known as Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (a combination of anemia, decreased platelet count, & nonreversible kidney failure) has occurred. Blood transfusions may make symptoms of this syndrome worse. Notify your pharmacist immediately if you develop symptoms about an infection (such as persistent sore throat or fever), fatigue, easy bleeding or bruising, dark urine, or change in amount of urine.
Mutamycin Usage: Mitomycin is used to treat various types of cancer.
How to use Mutamycin: this is potent drug. Take it exactly as prescribed. Tell your physician or nurse immediately if you experience pain, burning or redness at the place where injected.
Mutamycin side effects: Nausea, vomiting, loss about appetite, skin rash, numbness or tingling at fingers or toes, purple-colored bands on nails, or unusual tiredness or weakness common side effects. Not eating before treatment may help relieve vomiting. Changes at diet such as eating several small meals or limiting activity may help lessen several of these effects. in several cases, medication therapy may be necessary to prevent or relieve nausea & vomiting. Temporary hair loss is another common side effect; normal hair growth should return after treatment has ended. Contact you're doctor immediately, if you experience any of following symptoms: fever or chills, cough, lower back or side pain, painful or difficult urination, unusual bleeding or bruising, black tarry stools, blood in urine or stools, small red spots on skin, shortness of breath, swelling of feet or lower legs, sores in mouth or on lips, bloody vomit. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact youre healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Mutamycin Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, any infections, previous anti-cancer treatment, blood disorders, recent exposure to chickenpox, allergies. this medication can lower your body's ability to fight an infection. Notify your doctor if you develop any signs of an infection such as fever, sore throat, rash, or chills. Use caution with sharp objects love safety razors or nail cutters & avoid activities such as contact sports in order to lower the chance of gettin cut, bruised or injured. Avoid touching youre eyes or inside you're nose with-out first washing your hands. do not have immunizations/vaccinations with out consent of your healthcare professional, and avoid contact with human who have recently received oral polio vaccine. this medication can affect the production of sperm in men. Therefore, reliable birth control should be used while using this drug. this medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy, especially in first 3 months of pregnancy. Consult your physician. it is not known if mitomycin passes into breast milk. Because this is a powerful medication & may affect a nursing infant, consult youre physician before breast-feeding.
Mutamycin drug interactions: Tell your doctor of every medications you may use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially about: 'blood thinners' such as warfarin.
Mutamycin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Mutamycin special notes: Regular physician visits are important. Keep all medical appointments. Blood tests will be done to monitor youre progress.
If you missed Mutamycin dose: it is important to take each scheduled dose of this drug. If you miss a dose, contact you're pharmacist.
Mutamycin Storage: Prior to reconstitution, store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degree F (between 15 and 30 degrees C). Reconstituted solution may be stored at room temperature or refrigerated. check expiration dates and discard any unused drug after that date. Protect from light.
