Triaminic Usage: Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Triaminic: Take it drug as prescribed. don't increase your dose or take this more often than directed. Capsule dose forms should be swallowed whole.

Triaminic side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, nervousness, restlessness, loss about appetite, nausea or dry mouth may occur first few days as you're body adjusts to the drug. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, tremors, extreme nervousness, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or physician.

Triaminic Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: heart disease, HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, allergies (especially med allergies). cash this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult you're doctor promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. this med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare professional. since small amounts of this medication are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Triaminic drug interactions: Tell youre doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription tablet you may use, including: blood pressure meds, medications used to reduce weight, heart med, pill that prevents drowsiness, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not use this product together with an MAO inhibitor, or for 2 weeks after stopping MAO inhibitor drug. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Triaminic Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, hyperactivity, slow or shallow breathing, blurred vision, or unconsciousness.

Triaminic special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking it tablet. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Triaminic dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if Its near the time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Triaminic Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
