Diphtheria/tetanus/pertussis/haemophilus vaccine - injection

Tetramune Usage: this drug is given to provide protection (immunity) against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, & haemophilus b (Hib) diseases in children from 2 months of age up to five years of age.
How to use Tetramune: this med is given by injection by health care professional. It's usually given in the upper arm or in upper thigh. it is routinely administered at two, 4, six & 15 or 18 months about age as indicated in recommended immunization schedule for infants and child.
Tetramune side effects: most common is redness, warmth, swelling or pain at injection site beginning within 3 days. for few weeks, this may be possible to feel a firm, hard spot at injection site. Mild fever, irritability, sleepiness, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, cold symptoms or weakness may last 1-7 days. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your child's physician. Notify your child's pharmacist if any of following occur: high fever, persistent inconsolable crying beginning within 48 hours of the vaccination & lasting longer then 3 hours, seizure, unresponsiveness, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Tetramune Precautions: Tell your child's doctor if your child has: any illness, infections, blood disorders, seizure disorders, allergies. this vaccination shouldn't be used in kid who have had previous reaction to pertussis vaccine or who have recovered from pertussis illness. it vaccine should not be administered to adults or to children 7 years of age or older.
Tetramune drug interactions: Tell pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription med your children may take including: steroids, anticancer medications, immunosuppressants, blood thinners. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or pharmacist approval.
Tetramune Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Tetramune special notes: there are various combinations of vaccines available. Based on previous reactions to vaccines, some your child's health care professional will determine most appropriate one to give. Inform your child's doctor if your child has had any previous reactions to any vaccines. Discuss risks & benefits about vaccination with youre child's health care provider.
If you missed Tetramune dose: It's important your child receive each vaccination as scheduled. Be sure to make a note about when your kid received their last vaccination for their medical record.
Tetramune Storage: it medication is stored at refrigerator as directed.
