    Guaifenesin - oral

    Guiatuss Usage: it medication is used to relieve dry cough & helps to loosen phlegm & mucous in the lungs so you can 'cough-up' (expectorate) mucous.

    How to use Guiatuss: Take each dose of this tablet with a full glass about water. Water will also help break-up mucous & clear congestion. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. don't take this drug for a chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by your doctor. If cough lasts for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by fever, headache or rash, consult you're doctor.

    Guiatuss side effects: this med can cause stomach upset or rash. If these effects persist or worsen, inform youre doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or doctor.

    Guiatuss Precautions: If you have any about the following health problems, consult youre pharmacist before using this medication: breathing problems such as emphysema/chronic bronchitis/asthma, smoking, any allergies. it medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your doctor. It's not known if this med is excreted in to breast milk. Consult youre healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

    Guiatuss pill interactions: Tell your doctor of every medicines you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially: other cough-and-cold medicines. Guaifenesin may affect results of certain lab tests. Be sure your caregivers aware you use this medicine before lab tests are performed. do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or physician approval.

    Guiatuss Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, & unusually slow heartbeat.

    Guiatuss special notes: this drug comes in variety of dose forms such as tablets, capsules, long acting meds or capsules & syrup. Ask youre doctor or doctor to recommend the best product for you.

    If you missed Guiatuss dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if this is almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

    Guiatuss Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of it med. do not store syrup in the refrigerator.
