Guaifenesin/decongestant - oral liquid
Guiafen Pse Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Decongestants (e.g., pseudoephedrine) help relieve nasal congestion. this combination drug is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Guiafen Pse: Take this medication by mouth as directed. do not increase the dose or take this more many times or longer then prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Guiafen Pse side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness or headache may occur first few days as some your body adjusts to medication. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre healthcare professional. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or doctor.
Guiafen Pse Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: heart problems, liver disease, kidney disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating or an enlarged prostate, seizures, allergies (especially drug allergies). Because this medication can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. it med must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Its not known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult youre physician before breast-feeding.
Guiafen Pse drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, pill for depression, high blood pressure drugs. Tell your pharmacist if you have taken any MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) in last 2 weeks. do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or physician approval.
Guiafen Pse Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.
Guiafen Pse special notes: don't share this product with others.
If you missed Guiafen Pse dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Guiafen Pse Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from heat & sunlight. do not store at the bathroom.
