    Guaifenesin/dextromethorphan/decongestant - oral

    Genantuss Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan suppresses cough. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination drug is used to treat a cough & relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.

    How to use Genantuss: it drug is best taken with a full glass of water after meal or snack. Swallow long acting tablets and capsules whole. do not crush or chew them because the long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased. Take it drug as prescribed. do not increase you're dose or take it more many times than directed.

    Genantuss side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea, dry mouth or nervousness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify you're doctor if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, painful or difficult urination, tremors, extreme nervousness, trouble sleeping. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.

    Genantuss Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, any drug allergies. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. it medication may be excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Genantuss medication interactions: Tell youre doctor about every prescription and nonprescription medications you use, especially: medication for blood pressure, MAO inhibitors (e.g., phenelzine, furazolidone, moclobemide, linezolid, procarbazine, selegiline), sibutramine, narcotic pain medicines (e.g., codeine, morphine). Limit your intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this pill. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.

    Genantuss Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, loss about coordination, unusual movements about eyes, slow or shallow breathing, unconsciousness, slurred speech, change at behavior, convulsions, unusual slow or fast heartbeat, chest pain, increased thirst, fatigue, muscle weakness, headache, fever, chills, large pupils, anxiety, sweating, or tremors.

    Genantuss special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

    If you missed Genantuss dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.

    Genantuss Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
