Betadine Usage: this medication is combination antibiotic used on skin to treat an infection.
How to use Betadine: this drug is for topical use only. Clean & dry affected area as directed. then apply small amount about the tablet on skin. thin layer is every that is needed. Cover with bandage if directed to do so. do not use large amounts, apply this more often or use this for longer period than directed. your condition will not clear faster, but chance for side effects may be increased. Use carefully if applying to face. Avoid contact with the eyes, nose & mouth.
Betadine side effects: this med can cause burning, redness, or rash. Notify youre pharmacist if you develop any of these symptoms. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or physician.
Betadine Precautions: Tell youre physician if you have: another illnesses, an infection, allergies (especially to antibiotics). this med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. it is not known if this medication is found in breast milk. Consult you're pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Betadine drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use, including: other skin products. do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Betadine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Betadine special notes: If condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after a few days, notify some your healthcare professional.
If you missed Betadine dose: If you miss dose, apply it as soon as remembered; don't take it if it is near the time since the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Betadine Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat. dollars the expiration date on the tube and discard any expired medication.
