Viokase Usage: it medication contains digestive enzymes which help digest & absorb foods. it is used to treat symptoms of pancreatitis or another various digestive disorders.

How to use Viokase: this medication works best if taken with or after meals. Antacids may hinder the effects of it tablet. do not take an antacid at same time as this drug. Wait at least two hours between administration.

Viokase side effects: Generally this med is very well tolerated & side effects mild if they occur. Diarrhea, cramping or stomach upset may occur when starting treatment. If these effects persist or worsen, inform you're doctor. Although very unlikely to occur, notify your pharmacist if you develop: skin rash, severe stomach distress. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.

Viokase Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if your allergic to the next: pork. it pill must be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Discuss risks & benefits with your pharmacist. It's not known if this drug appears in breast milk. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.

Viokase drug interactions: Tell some your healthcare professional of every medicines you may use including prescription & nonprescription, especially: antacids that contain calcium and/or magnesium, iron. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or healthcare professional approval.

Viokase Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include diarrhea or upset stomach.

Viokase special notes: don't change brands with out 1-st checking with you're pharmacist. do not share this medication with others.

If you missed Viokase dose: Take any missed dose as soon as possible but not if It's almost time for the following dose. If it is time for the next dose, skip missed dose & resume you're regular schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose.

Viokase Storage: Store at room temperature & keep away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
