Guiadrine Gp Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. it combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Guiadrine Gp: Take this medication by mouth. it should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew the medication. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take it drug as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. this is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Guiadrine Gp side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur first several days as your body adjusts to drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because it medication can cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate it effect. Guiadrine Gp Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, hypertension, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with youre pharmacist. Its not known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult youre pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Guiadrine Gp drug interactions: Tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, drug for depression, medication since HBP. Tell your pharmacist if you have taken any MAO inhibitors at the last 2 weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. don't start or stop any medicine with out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Guiadrine Gp Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, and seizures.

If you missed Guiadrine Gp dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Guiadrine Gp Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in bathroom.
