Emulsoil Usage: Irritant or stimulant laxatives used to treat constipation and to clear intestine before rectal or bowel examinations.
How to use Emulsoil: Take each dose with full glass about water or juice & drink plenty about fluids while taking it drug. Chewable tablets are to be chewed thoroughly. tablets to be swallowed whole with full glass about water. Wafers are to be chewed. Laxatives shouldnot be used in persons experiencing stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting.
Emulsoil side effects: this medication can cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rectal irritation, stomach cramps or bloating. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify youre healthcare professional if you experience: rectal bleeding, rapid heart rate, weakness, dizziness, fainting, sweating, skin rash, unrelieved constipation. this drug may cause urine to turn pink, red or brownish in color. don't be alarmed. It's not harmful. Prolonged, frequent or excessive use of laxatives may lead to dependency. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or pharmacist.
Emulsoil Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional youre medical history, especially about: kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, swelling (edema), any allergies (especially to tartrazine). Castor oil isn't recommended for use during pregnancy. Bulk producing laxatives are an alternative. Discuss the risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. Consult your doctor before using any medication while breast-feeding.
Emulsoil med interactions: Because laxatives may interfere with absorption of several medications, it is important to tell your healthcare professional of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take. Avoid the use of dairy products or antacids within one hour of taking bisacodyl meds. do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Emulsoil Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, muscle cramps, weakness, lack of feeling alert, or dry gums & eyes.
Emulsoil special notes: To maintain normal bowel habits, it is important to drink plenty of fluids (4 to 6 eight ounce glasses day), increase your intake about fiber & roughage and exercise regularly.
If you missed Emulsoil dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near the time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Emulsoil Storage: Different brands of this drug may have different storage requirements. Refer to package labeling or ask your pharmacist for the specific storage requirements for the brand you using.
