Tri Afed Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining & improve breathing.
How to use Tri Afed: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. It's recommended to drink plenty of fluids while taking it medication, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days or accompanied by a high fever, notify you're pharmacist. do not increase the dose or take it more frequently than recommended. the suspension dosage form must be shaken well before each use.
Tri Afed side effects: may cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability & dry mouth and nose. These effects must subside as your body adjusts to tablet. If they persist or become bothersome, inform some your doctor. Notify some your doctor if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in the ears, difficulty urinating. may cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from seated or lying position. Change positions slowly & be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or physician.
Tri Afed Precautions: Tell your doctor you're medical history, especially about: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, pill allergies. bucks it product's ingredient list since phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult youre doctor promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. don't drink alcoholic beverages. this drug must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding. do not give this medication to a kid younger than six years of age unless directed to do so by doctor.
Tri Afed drug interactions: Tell some your doctor what medications you take, especially of: high blood pressure medications, anti-seizure pills, antidepressants, sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain medication, other cold or allergy med. do not take this drug if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. don't start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Tri Afed Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose in kid may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount about urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.

If you missed Tri Afed dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
