    Guaifenesin with dextromethorphan - oral

    Guiadrine DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. it combination drug is used to treat cough associated with the common cold, allergies and another respiratory illnesses.

    How to use Guiadrine DM: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase some your dose or take it more often than directed. Capsules and long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with a full glass about water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed and the chance of side effects will be increased.

    Guiadrine DM side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur the 1st several days as your body adjusts to pill. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre doctor. Notify your pharmacist if you develop any of these effects while taking this drug: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this drug makes you feel dizzy. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

    Guiadrine DM Precautions: Tell youre doctor your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with some your doctor. since small amounts of this tablet found in breast milk, consult youre doctor before breast-feeding.

    Guiadrine DM drug interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.

    Guiadrine DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, and seizures.

    Guiadrine DM special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

    If you missed Guiadrine DM dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the clock for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Guiadrine DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
