Q Bid DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. this combination pill is used to treat cough associated with common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Q Bid DM: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules and long-acting meds should be swallowed whole with full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased.
Q Bid DM side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss about appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur the 1'st several days as your body adjusts to the drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify some your doctor if you develop any of these effects while taking this drug: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this med makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.
Q Bid DM Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with some your healthcare professional. since small amounts of this medication are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Q Bid DM pill interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.
Q Bid DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, and seizures.
Q Bid DM special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it drug. this will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Q Bid DM dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Q Bid DM Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. don't store in bathroom.
